This is me.... I often cry! I have been known to shake in my voice describing how a song can make me feel on air and so I am clear about this ... I Feel Big! So I am pictured here crying in the dark. I am an emotional person and so This is me crying. I cry for myself and for others. I cry for the world we live in and the children of the world who are dying because of greed and war. I have a radio show with my daughter on Friday Afternoons at Radio 2bbb Bellingen. Listen in sometime. We have a lot of fun each week. The show is called Melonpop Drive and so we play drive time music. Tune in sometime and you can do that by clicking the photo and going to the live streaming 2bbb page. Happy Listening folks and I am really glad to have you on board with us.
Malachi Corcoran...AKA Malachi MC integral part of MNC - Mid North Collaboration. This is a name that is finally getting some really good feedback and some real money making gigs to boot. Mal and Chut have been working very hard and have released some real quality stuff over the last year. Proof hard work pays off in the end. Mal has become a father as well so this should only add more depth to his music and a new determination to succeed. I get very excited hearing anything these guys do. I will be seeing them again soon at a gig. I will blog this when it happens.

Ran MC... he and Dj Thortz have some stuff happening together. Ran has cut his teeth on the microphones of 2bbb. His mother was a Radio Programmer and so he spent a lot of time hanging around the studios and doing and playing with things he probably wasn't supposed to however this has paid off for him as he has devoted his time to writing recording and performing his own style of Aussie hip hop. Ran Style.. Catch him at gigs around the north coast of N.S.W. Presently he is based in Sawtell.
Our first interview was with Nj Edwards a Sydney Rapper. He is about to release his album "Like food for the Soul". I have been to see Nj since and met him in person. He didn't really think it was that great that we made the journey to see him. If only he knew how hard it is to leave home. I am getting better though. I found Nj on Facebook and researched him after I listened to his music. He is what he is and I like this. He is fairly well motivated to do a brilliant job and he is extremely thorough with his recording and writing and his sales etc. He is also gracious and well mannered.
Then it was Mind over Matter... The Aussie Hip hop band that is getting better and better all the time. Willow and Smiles. I have seen them a couple of times now. I am also on a promise of a drink from Smiles when we actually are in a venue where we can actually speak to each other like humans. M O M were in Coff's Harbour a couple of weeks back I missed them this time. Next time though.
Swamp Rock or just swamp. That is how 8 Ball Aitken described himself and his music. What a wonderful 2bbb interview for the drive show. Both 8 Ball and Bird Jensen in my studio. The interview went fabulously as well. I was most pleased. Proof there are times and there are times. I enjoyed photographing these guys as they were both so beautiful colorful in their appearance. This matched their wonderful happy personalities and their great musical sound.
The Cheyne Murphy Trio from Byron. I will have to go back to my notes to remember the details of this one. He was hooking up with some local talent to play a gig at the Federal Hotel Bellingen and he came on my show rather impromptu. He loved us though. I hope so. He said he did but.... I suppose this is a time where people are always going to lie. No one is going to say anything to you to upset you because they want their stuff played on air. But I could hope ... I have no one to tell me if its O.K. or not.
One of the great pleasures of my broadcasting career was to have Luke Wilton, a locally based musician / Artist. What a pleasure to share the mic's and airwaves with this fine muso. It was so nice to be in the company of such an aware young man who took his music very seriously. He blessed us all with a few of his tracks he has written himself and he was a perfect guest to interview.

Some days on air are just classic. Some days are bad days and other days everything just goes so perfectly right. It all fall's into place so beautifully. Either way, it is always fun.
